Da der Touring-Car-Titel 'DTM Race Driver', wie von Codemasters angekündigt, am 23. März für den PC erscheinen soll, ist es durchaus an der Zeit für eine Demo. Und so wie es aussieht, wird sie wohl jetzt auch kommen, denn laut Codemasters Customer Service im offiziellen Codemasters Forum ist die Singleplayer-Demo fertiggestellt und wird demnächst veröffentlicht werden. Die Demo wird drei Cut-Scenes des Spiels enthalten, sowie eine Testfahrt in einem Proton Satria und jeweils zwei Runden in folgenden Rennen:

• DTM - Opal Astra auf dem Norisring mit 19 Gegnern
• TRD - Lexus LS200 in Brands Hatch mit 13 Gegnern
• PRD - Toyota Supra in Sears Point mit 19 Gegnern

Das Handling wird auswählbar sein, von der Default-Einstellung Arcade bis hin zu einem simulationslastigerem Modell. Wir werden euch selbstverständlich auf dem Laufenden halten, sowie es neue Informationen zur Demo gibt.

I can confirm that the PC demo is finished and has been made available to many different magazines in many different countries, so you should expect to see it on covermounts soon.

The demo features 3 cut-scenes from the full game and you get to do a test drive around Brands Hatch (short circuit) in a Proton Satria, and then a two lap race with the car and track depending on which territory you are in*.

The handling is selectable - defaulting to arcade, but alterable to a more sim-like model from the options - bonus screen.

I can also confirm that we hope to be mastering very shortly on the full game and so confidently expect a release date around the end of March.
